Debix, an Austin-based, early stage technology company is looking for an experienced database administrator to join the company's experienced technical team. Debix is the leading provider of safe, innovative and highly effective identity protection products for consumers and businesses. Customers include Fortune 500 companies, higher education and government institutions.
Specific responsibilities will include supporting the Oracle database and ensuring its performance, availability and security. This person will report to the VP of Engineering.
Skills
Responsible for ensuring availability and performance of the database that supports the system.
Establish the configuration and ensure proper management of storage resources
Optimize performance of database
Proactively monitor the database systems to ensure secure services with minimum downtime
Responsible for improvement and maintenance of the database to include any rollout and upgrades
Proven ability to successfully manage multiple projects and meet critical deadlines
Background
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
Proven Oracle Database Administration experience, 10g required, 11g a plus
Oracle certification a plus
Experience of SQL Server
Technology start up experience highly preferred
